David Choi in Vancouver

A couple of weeks ago, Victoria and I watched David Choi perform at The Media Club in Vancouver BC.

It was earlier this year when Victoria made me watch his youtube videos, and since then I have been a fan. For those who don't know who he is.. he is a youtube celebrity! He's a singer, songwriter, producer and much more. He sings covers and his own music.

In better words.. here's the bio from his website:
"David Choi is a native Los Angeles singer/songwriter/producer whose songs and tracks have been heard on NBC, VH1, MTV, E!, Travel Channel, PBS, Food Network, Disney, as well as in national commercials overseas. He has worked on several major online campaigns including Starburst and JC Penney. On YouTube, he has over 165,000 subscribers and over 45,000,000 total video views.

In 2004, Choi was the grand prize winner for David Bowie’s Mash-up contest which Bowie himself chose. Following that, he was the grand prize winner for USA Weekend Magazine’s John Lennon Songwriting Contest for teens and appeared in USA Weekend Magazine with recording artist Usher.
Choi also has a song on the album “State of Survival” called “This is Your Life” on upcoming Interscope group Flipsyde, which he co-produced.

In October of 2008, David released his self produced album “Only You” worldwide."

When he announced his tour a few months ago, Victoria and I had to attend. I even missed philosophy class, but it was so worth it because it was amazing!! I think the thing that sets David Choi apart from all the other youtube musicians is his creativity and his personality. You can definitely tell he has a passion for what he does. Pure talent.

At the end of the concert, he stayed behind and took pictures/signed stuff for everyone. Victoria and I waited for about 20 minutes, and then someone told us he was only staying for five more minutes because his manager (or whomever) was telling him that he had to go. So we started lining up.. and he took longer than 5 minutes to say bye to everyone. He's a really down to earth guy, really appreciates his fans. Throughout the concert he thanked us being there about 5 times! Totally awesome.

Enough with the chit chat. Lets get to the good stuff. So if you weren't able to make the show, here are some pictures and video clips for all of you to enjoy.

We made sure to purchase our tickets right away :)
